About MSS Performance
MSS Performance have been involved in the preparation of motorcycle road racing bikes since 1982, enjoying success at every level of competition from club Championships at BMCRC to WSBK and the illustrious IOM TT Races. Its main focus is on the Kawasaki Ninja range, supplying racing parts and full Team Green Technical Support for all Kawasaki Racing riders and teams. They have fully trained and knowledgeable technicians specialising in every aspect of bike performance. It has a dedicated engine room, Dyno facilities and a machine shop for cylinder head skimming, plus a chassis department for full machine set-up and detailed front fork, rear shock servicing and fork kits
Motorsport Innovation
MSS designs and manufactures its own range of suspension accessories, as Nick explains, "we have to keep developing these parts, otherwise they become obsolete in the fast-moving world of bike racing. We work with many race teams, who mainly come to us with a problem, so we will build prototype components for them to test and once successful, we will feed that knowledge into our customer based items."
Why Vantage?
Vantage were introduced to Nick Morgan of MSS Performance by one of his clients. "The scheme was originally introduced to me around 10 years ago, but the process seemed so complex and time-consuming, I steered away from it. I need to focus my time on getting a cam shaft working better or reworking a cylinder head, I didn't want to get involved in something like that, but working with Vantage now just makes life so easy." says Nick.
"It was very, very, very straightforward. Seamless. Nothing was too much trouble. We've had other companies come in and offer better terms, but we wouldn't swap the service we get from Vantage. They're specialists in their field, they understand and explain what qualifies and what doesn't qualify. They give you enough information to understand the process, but don't overload you and that's really important."
The reward
"The financial benefits are huge. We invest so much in R&D, often for scant rewards, so the relief significantly improves cash flow. The cash has enabled me to introduce new systems to make us more fluid in what we're doing, so we don't go chasing something that isn't there. We've also invested in new equipment, which has made our lives much easier. In a sense, it’s a financial input that makes our company more efficient. So, we're reinvesting in our machinery, so that we can do more R&D and we can work on better processes and better engineered products for testing and development going forward."
